Man's Natural Bent Is To Make God In My Image

People say, “I want a GOD I can relate to, that I can understand. I don’t like the idea of a GOD who is beyond my ability to understand Him, to fully comprehend Him.” So, I (people) dumb GOD down to my level. I (people) dumb GOD down to fit into my life experience. That is why the GOD many of us worship is too small to help us deal with every day life. That is why the GOD we worship can’t heal or do miracles. That is why we are surprised when He does.
